The Radio Play – studio.HD

Tap the Plus icon or the "New Project" button to create a new project.

Record audio by tapping the red record button. The recorded audio will appear on track 8 by default. Tap-and-hold to pick up the clip and drop it on a different track.

Sound effects files imported via iTunes will appear in the "My Loops" menu below. These are imported loops that can be used in any audio project. Tap and hold to get a preview of the sound, as well as the info reading. Drag it to a track to place it in the project.

Studio.HD has a built in effects library that can be used for live DJ gigs, or in our case, to add multiple effects to any of the audio tracks. Click the right arrow to show the effects and track volume panel. You can place up to four separate effects on each track. Under the "FX" menu, tap-and-hold an effect, and drag it to the desired track.

You can also drag up to four effects to the "Master" effect bar. This will apply an effect to the project globally, instead of to an individual track.

Tip: Pinch the timeline sideways to zoom in and out for more precise editing.

Pro Tip: To apply more than 4 effects on any particular set of audio, tap the clip, copy it, paste it in a new track, and align the clips. Then add new effects to the duplicated track.

Tap "Hold" to change the effect permanently (as opposed to temporarily, like you might in a live performance situation). Drag the square around the quadrants to get a sense for the effect. Drop it where it sounds best. You can always tweak this later.

To export the final project, tap "My Projects", then tap the Share icon. Choose between exporting the song to iTunes, archiving the project files, or sharing the song on SoundCloud. SoundCloud requires you to create an account.
